The Trenton Falls Scenic Trail in Trenton NY will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15.
Located on private property owned by Brookfield Renewable Power, the trails are open to the public on only a few specific weekends each year. Visitors will find scenic overlooks, wildlife, informational panels and picnic areas, as well as points of historic interest.
Two types of trails are available: the primary trail (stone dust) is about 1-mile long and takes visitors from the parking area to the Trenton Falls Hydro Dam overlook. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to enjoy, according to the Town of Trenton’s website. The secondary set of trails (wood mulch) allow visitors to experience nature and scenic vistas along the gorge.
