North Face Launches Explore Fund Grant Program

Outdoor gear company the North Face has announced a program, of up to $2,500 per grant, that will awarded to nonprofit organizations that help children connect to nature, increase access to both front and backcountry recreation, and provide education for both personal and environmental health. The deadline to apply is October 5.

Saucony Run For Good Grants

The Saucony Run For Good Foundation, is accepting applications for its grant program that aids nonprofit organizations that initiate and support running and fitness programs for kids. The foundation has two grant cycles per year, with up to seven awards granted each cycle. The deadlines to apply is December 13.

Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) grant deadline approaching

There is still time to apply to State Parks for grants for the acquisition, planning, development, and improvement of local parks and trails, historic properties, and heritage areas. Application deadline is September 1, 2011.

Erie Canalway to Offer Grants

Erie Canalway will soon announce a call for grant applications to fund projects that advance the goals of its Preservation and Management Plan. Grants will range from $2,000 to $7,000 and must be matched one-to-one by the recipient. The aim of the grants is to assist with projects that meet local, as well as Erie Canalway, priorities and that are managed at the local level. Applications will be made available on September 12, 2011.
