After decades of work, a 1.3-mile multi-use trail in the Clinton County city of Plattsburgh is now open for use.
Officials cut the ribbon Monday on the first phase of a trail along the Saranac River in Plattsburgh. The project, proposed 30 years ago, cost 1.5 million dollars to construct. The city hopes to expand the trail into the downtown and Plattsburgh Marina, eventually linking it with trails in Plattsburgh Town and Saranac.
