Check out the Partnership for Active Transportation

The Partnership for Active Transportation (www.Partnership4AT.org) It’s a brand new effort that takes a radically different approach to advocacy by bringing in a broad range of new, powerful partners to the movement. By adding the voices of health interests, elected officials and  businesses to those of advocates, we hope to fundamentally change the way our movement impacts policy.

In the short time since the Partnership’s launch, they have generated the buy-in of such national groups as America Walks, the American Public Health Association and the National League of Cities, and dozens of local groups, businesses and elected officials (the list on the site will be updated soon).

All of you—trail managers, advocates and friends—should sign your groups on to the Partnership’s statement of principles: http://www.partnership4at.org/about/declaration.
