What government programs are bike and ped activities eligible under?

Ever heard of the Question Mark guy? Matthew Lesko may seem like a hokey late night TV personality, but boiled down, this man in a wacky suit is essentially just telling Americans what Government grant programs are available and how to apply for them, albeit in his own energetic way. Yes, it’s chintzy and over the top, sophomoric… but that’s the packaging. The programs are real.

So, where’s the funding for bike and pedestrian programs? You don’t need a clown in a suit adorned with question marks to tell you. Check out this handy table by Advocacy Advance that indicates potential eligibility for pedestrian and bicycle projects under federal highway and transit programs. In each case there are specific requirements that must be met within eligibility criteria and eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis. You didn’t even need to dial a 1-800 number to get it.

A shot out to Advocacy Advance’s blog.
