The Erie Canalway Heritage Fund is the nonprofit fundraising organization of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor. The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, in partnership with the National Park Service, collaborates with communities and organizations to preserve and interpret the nationally significant heritage of New York’s canal system, provide world-class recreational and educational opportunities, foster economic revitalization, and improve the quality of life in Corridor communities.
This newly created position reports to the Executive Director of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor and collaborates with the Board Chair of the Erie Canalway Heritage Fund to achieve the fundraising goals of the organization. The Director of Development will build a diversified development program to secure funding from individual, foundation and corporate donors and must possess a solid history of fundraising with a superior record of achievement in complex, mission driven organizations.
